Creative Workspaces of a Modern University in Terms of Student-centered Teaching

Abstract

The ways of creating resource workspaces of a modern university in the aspect of student-centered teaching are researched, since they contribute to the realization of the intellectual and creative potential of students. The positive experience of Ukrainian universities is analyzed with the aim of implementation of successful samples into the practice of Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University. Special attention is paid to coworking centers as locations for effective teamwork and comfortable rest. Their potential for the formation of the necessary competencies, social work skills and civic activities is studied. The possibility of creating a TechnoMuseum on the basis of the university is also being considered. This will allow not only to optimize the training of students of technical specialties, but also to create an attractive place for excursions, primarily for students of schools and vocational schools. An additional positive effect of the emergence of a coworking center and a TechnoMuseum is the ability to attract financial resources from outside. © 2021 IEEE.

Досліджено шляхи створення ресурсних робочих просторів сучасного університету в аспекті студентоцентрованого навчання, оскільки вони сприяють реалізації інтелектуального та творчого потенціалу студентів. Проаналізовано позитивний досвід українських університетів з метою впровадження успішних зразків у практику Кременчуцького національного університету імені Михайла Остроградського. Особлива увага приділяється коворкінговим центрам як локаціям для ефективної командної роботи та комфортного відпочинку. Вивчається їхній потенціал для формування необхідних компетенцій, навичок соціальної роботи та громадянської активності. Також розглядається можливість створення на базі університету Технмузею. Це дозволить не лише оптимізувати навчання студентів технічних спеціальностей, а й створити привабливе місце для екскурсій, насамперед для учнів шкіл та професійно-технічних училищ. Додатковим позитивним ефектом появи коворкінгового центру та Технмузею є можливість залучення фінансових ресурсів ззовні.
