Анотація

Aim: To investigate the statistical relationship between the manifestations of the COVID-19 pandemic and individual medical, social, economic indicators in the regions of Ukraine and to improve further research in this direction. Materials and Methods: Research methods include epidemiological, medical-statistical, bibliographic. Statistical analysis of data from the Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the State Statistics Service of Ukraine was carried out. Results: Correlation analysis showed the presence of an average strength of direct correlation (p<0.05) between the incidence of COVID-19 and the number of retired persons; the number of doctors; the prevalence of malignant neoplasms; also, between mortality from COVID-19 and the number of retired persons; the number of doctors; the number of households; the prevalence of malignant neoplasms; gross regional product per capita; the average age of the population. The analysis also showed the presence of an average strength of inverse correlation (p<0.05) between the incidence of COVID-19 and the average age of the population; the unemployment rate; also, between COVID-19 mortality and unemployment rate; case fatality rate and the number of doctors. Conclusions: Correlation analysis revealed moderate direct correlations between medical, social, economic parameters. These findings are crucial for developing strategies to predict, prepare for, and mitigate pandemics.
