Conceptual dimensions and directions of decentralization and their significance for Ukrainian education

Abstract

The concept of "decentralization" is explored in the context of transfer of powers to lower levels of govern ment. The interdependence of power and administrative competences of the state, regional, local and public levels is analyzed. Different directions of decentralization are considered, such as administrative, financial and control ling. Decentralization of education in all its multidimensionality is defined as a special direction.
